OSI-D Dynamic Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing System


OSI-D is based on Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry (OFDR) technology, used for temperature and strain distributed measurements, with a spatial resolution of up to 0.64mm. Through optimized algorithms, OFDR distributed fiber optic sensing technology achieves dynamic demodulation, with a sampling rate of up to 120Hz, suitable for real-time monitoring applications. OSI-D utilizes conventional single-mode optical fibers as sensors and is compatible with high-density weakly reflective fiber Bragg grating arrays, enabling the simultaneous measurement of thousands to tens of thousands of sensing points on a single fiber. With a 3+1 measurement mode, OSI-D meets diverse customer needs, providing shape sensing capabilities and supporting comprehensive customization.

Note:

     The maximum measurement length for a single channel is 20m, and each measurement mode has corresponding configuration parameters. Spatial resolution ranges from 0.64 to 10.24mm with multiple options.

      Standard pigtail length is 20m, customizable to 50m or 100m.

      The sensor supports various types of optical fibers, and it is recommended to use single-mode fibers or high-density weakly reflective fiber Bragg grating arrays.

      3+1 measurement modes are available, and users can switch between them on the software interface. Each mode can be configured for sensor length and spatial resolution, obtaining the corresponding sampling rate. User-defined modes require a separate purchase.

      The sampling rate is related to the number of sensing points. The sampling rate in the table is obtained under the longest sensing distance and a spatial resolution of 10.24mm for that mode.
