OSI-S High-Precision Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing System


OSI-S is an ultra-high-precision distributed fiber optic sensing device. Its principle is based on Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry (OFDR) and is used for temperature and strain distributed measurements with a spatial resolution of up to 1mm. The accuracy of temperature and strain measurements can reach up to ±0.1℃ and ±1.0με, respectively. The system utilizes conventional single-mode optical fibers as sensors and is compatible with high-density weakly reflective fiber Bragg grating arrays. It can simultaneously measure thousands to tens of thousands of sensing points on a single fiber, making it widely applicable in the fields of short-range, high-resolution, and high-precision temperature and strain measurements.

Sensing length is customizable.

Standard products come without a lead fiber length, but other lengths can be customized, such as 1km for remote measurements.

Spatial resolution is selectable in multiple levels ranging from 1 to 10mm. The spatial resolution of customized products can reach up to 0.64mm.

The sensor supports various types of optical fibers, and it is recommended to use single-mode fibers or high-density weakly reflective fiber Bragg grating arrays.

Measurement accuracy is achieved at a spatial resolution of 1cm.

The temperature measurement range depends on the type of sensing optical fiber. Acrylate-coated fibers are suitable for 0 to 100℃, polyimide-coated fibers for -50 to 300℃, and gold-coated fibers for -200 to 700℃.
